Have You Ever Been Awake During A Dream?

The question today is have you ever been awake during a dream? I don’t know if you’ve ever been awake and still dreaming at the same time, but it is a fascinating experience. They call it “lucid dreaming”. It often happen when you are in what’s called REM sleep right before you fully wake.

From a hypnosis point of view it what is called a hypnogogic state where you can influence your mind and therefore what happens in your life. It is a state of mind where you can program yourself in useful ways.

When you are awake inside your dream, you realize your are dreaming and that you can change things in the dream. It is an exciting feeling to have. You think a thought and everything and everyone around you changes. You start to have a dream experience and you get a feeling of foreboding and you sort of see what is about to happen and you shift it so that things turn out in a way that makes you feel confident and  you enjoy the outcome.

The interesting thing in a lucid dream is a dream can turn out badly and you can go back and have the same dream, while dreaming and have it turn out the way you want. And the feeling from that is an unbelievable safe, secure and satisfying feeling.

Well that is exactly what Mary Jennings said it seemed like when she aligned her core beliefs. She said she felt like she was waking up in her every day life. Things that used to bother her and she felt she had no control over she realized she has full control over the meaning she gave to those situations and as she reinterpreted what she thought something meant everything changed for her.

She really likes the fact that when she aligns her core beliefs other feelings and meanings shift on their own and she was delighted at the amount of clarity she now has about things.

Your core beliefs control everything in your life.

Core beliefs determine your self esteem and how you see the world. They determine what other beliefs you can take into your belief system. When you align your core beliefs everything else changes including the meaning you have given to your core beliefs.

So why not just change your core beliefs, why align them?

That’s a great question and the answer is because when you try to change a core belief you are attempting to change the meaning without addressing the energy that holds the meaning in place. It is the energy that holds the meaning in place that needs to be shifted because the energy is what gives the meaning emotional charge.

When you align the energy of a core belief the emotional charge that had held the meaning in place is gone. And the feeling of right and wrong that you had held is no longer there. When that happens your self esteem and how you see the world changes completely.

Achmad,
Apologies I must be missing your point. Lucid dreaming has nothing to do with sleepwalking or somnambulism. Could you expand on what you are saying.
