Goodbye To An Inspiring Man – Jerry Hicks

I love Esther and Jerry HicksSince today is Cyber Monday I was going to write about all the discounts and free give away gifts we have at DocResults.com. I mentioned one I put together just for this weekend in the last issue of Balanced Living Magazine. But since the last issue I found out that someone who had been an inspiration to me had made his transition, or croaked as he and his wife Esther were fond of saying.  I wanted to say goodbye to an inspiring man – Jerry Hicks.

For those of you who do not know Jerry and Esther Hicks were the husband and wife team that became the extension for the non-physical energy that uses the name “Abraham”. As Abraham put it, the name Abraham has less emotional charge and meaning than the label God and it would probably keep Esther from being hung on a cross. Abraham is the title Jerry and Esther gave to Infinite Intelligence or Source energy as Abraham says.

If Esther was part of a religious organization she would be called a prophet and Jerry would be the one bugging the prophet with question after question after question about how does this happen and how does that happen. And Jerry’s unending curiosity has turned out to be a blessing for all humanity.

Why was Jerry such an inspiring man? To understand that it might be good to have a little background…

From: www.money-health-relationships.com

From early childhood, Jerry Hicks had been a strong seeker of truth. In the late ’50s, while visiting friends in Spokane Washington, Jerry discovered a ouija board. Initially a strong disbeliever, he came to accept that something “real” was happening. One session with the board directed Jerry to read books by Albert Schweitzer the Nobel Prize-winning philosopher, musician and Christian missionary. Jerry bought his own ouija board, and although it never worked for him personally, he found three people that could receive messages through the board. These messages however were more like party conversation than the feel of his first experience, so he eventually discarded the board.

In 1965, on impulse he picked up a book – Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. As he started to read it, goose bumps came up all over him. He decided to follow the teachings. In a short time he became a successful businessman, and even began teaching the principles in the book.

Well before he and Esther ever encounter Abraham, Jerry was a teacher and went around the country teaching Napoleon Hill’s book Think and Grow Rich which you can get a free copy of here. Here are Jerry’s own words about this from Abraham-Hicks.com

Jerry’s life reads like a celebrity bio: circus performer, juggler, boxer, singer, gymnast, radio show host, comedian, millionaire entrepreneur. In his words, “Every dream I’ve had—every dream since I was a little boy—they’ve all come true.”

Jerry has journeyed from being so sick as a child that he overheard his doctor tell his mother, “I don’t think the kid is gonna make it through the winter,” to an adult who enjoys almost perfect health and vitality. Today, the spring in Jerry’s step rivals that of men half his age.

As a child, Jerry lived in such poverty that, he says a bit sheepishly, “My mother once resorted to cutting the neighbor’s fence and letting the cows wander in so she could get milk for my little brother.” Yet, by the time he met Esther, Jerry had built a multi-million-dollar business operation engaging over 100,000 people. His success springboarded almost entirely from a chance reading of Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich. Jerry confides, “I was never much interested in money. I was more interested in having a wonderful life . . . and being free.”

Jerry is a major part of the reason Esther became the focal point for the non-physical Abraham because of his continued wonder and curiosity about how things work. It was his questioning from a place of curiosity that really got the ball rolling as Esther developed her ability to translate and put into words the non-physical energy that is Abraham.

I appreciate what Dr. Joe Vitale said recently about Jerry…

I have rarely met anyone so committed to his mission of getting out the word of Abraham. Jerry didn’t struggle or worry, but simply offered Abraham’s words to those ready to hear them. He never seemed to tire. He never got bored. He never wanted to stop. He was just as enthusiastic over the most recent Abraham seminars as he was over the very first ones.

Jerry cared so much for humanity that he simply lived to help others without the pressure that they must believe what he believed As he says…

” Esther and I are mainly here for the fun. It’s up to you if anything meaningful is to come of this.” He adds, “I’ve come to believe that we all make up a wonderful mix on this planet, and there’s no right or wrong in any of it. It wouldn’t work if we were all the same. The variety is great.”

Jerry moved back into the non-physical on November 18th of this year. He used cancer as his way of moving from the physical to the non-physical. Jerry understood Law of Attraction so well that he had no problem using cancer as his way of moving into non-physical. He understood that it wasn’t about an either/or situation. He used conventional chemotherapy and whatever made him feel better internally as he was moving from one place to another. Abraham has said death (croaking) is like leaving a movie that you really enjoyed.

I don’t know if, you like me, miss his presence in this room and I know that he is just in another room having fun because like he wrote on the back of his big, big motor home. “Life is supposed to be fun!”

So in honor and as a way to say goodbye to such an inspiring man. I feel the lose of his presence and I celebrate that he is in another room having fun and wishing the same for us.

To Your Best,
Houston
