Defeating Depression can be done quickly with the proper mentoring help. And if you have a mild form of depression the following suggestions can be applied and get great results. Besides these useful suggestions,  at the end of the article you will be encouraged to participant in an up coming webinar that can get you control and allow you to win over depression.

Some useful ways to defeat depression…

The opposite of fear is faith. When you are anxious, a great way to get out of it is to find some faith. Believing that things will get better is sometimes all it takes to make it better. It also helps to never underestimate the power of positive prayer or visualization; if it can cure cancer it can also reduce your depression.

If watching the news fills you with depression – turn off the TV! The world will continue to revolve even if you’re not watching it on CNN. Limit yourself to one hour a day of news and don’t watch anything that may upset you before you go to bed.

Lack of control over your thoughts strengthens your depression. As negative thoughts get stronger and stronger, your depression gets stronger. You need to learn to control your thoughts.

Negative feelings and emotions fuel and strengthen depression. You need to learn some self discipline and control over your feelings, and you also need to develop emotional and mental detachment.

When you go to bed at night, and first thing when you wake up in the morning, think about the good things that are happening to you. There are always some good things happening, even if small and insignificant.

Start the day with several minutes of positive affirmations. Tell yourself how you would like your day to be. Use positive, cheering and motivating words.

Be busy, do something. By doing something you keep your mind off your depression. When you wake up in the morning start doing something right away, and keep busy all day. Cleaning the house, washing the dishes or working in your garden, reading, studying, meditating or exercising your body can help you keep your mind away from depression. Just sitting around and thinking about your problems and worries won’t make them go away.

Set a goal and work every day to achieve it. This action will direct your thoughts and feelings away from worries and anxieties, toward something more positive.

Talk about your anxieties to someone you trust. Talking about your anxieties and feelings often alleviate them and put them in the right proportions, provided you talk objectively, and with a real desire to reduce or get rid of your depression.

Exercising is a good way to keep from letting your fears overwhelm you. You can walk, do yoga or aerobics or any other sport.

Find reasons to laugh. This will bring light and happiness into your life and drive depression away. Watch comedies, be with happy and amusing friends or read something that makes you laugh.

Affirm and visualize positive situations and events. Visualize a happy and positive solution to your problems.

The practical suggestions offered above can be of great help in your quest to live happier and healthier.  For more in-depth training go to DocResults.com and please take advantage of the discount before July 12th.

Thank you very much. Is there anything called positive depression? Can depression push a person to the next level. When I am depressed, I am very down and it gets to a point that the only route is to move up!

Clement,
Thanks for your post. Not sure depression pushes a person up or down. Frustrated with depression or anger at depression can trigger a movement from depression. It is when one makes a decision about depression one way or the other that energy movement happens.

Doc Houston
